We launched the club, met the author, grabbed our copies and now it’s time to talk about everything that went down.
Join us for our first official Velvet Mat Book Club discussion featuring The Critic, a darkly funny psychological suspense novel set in 1995 Pittsburgh by L.L. Kirchner. If you didn't get the book, and there is still time...order via Pages and Perks and sign up for the meet up.
Think sharp mouths, unreliable memories, newsroom drama, poisoned brownies, dial-up modems, and women who were absolutely too much for the room.
We’ll gather underground for wine, mingling, thoughtful questions, chaotic observations, and reflections on the book. Come dressed as your favorite ’90s woman...Tonya Harding, Anita Hill, Monica Lewinsky, Courtney Love, Winona Ryder, Princess Di, or whoever speaks to your chaotic little soul.
